her politics, her faith, her humour,
her resilience, her fighting spirit.
The history of Ireland and the people
is all there in the traditional music. 
When I write original lyrics, I am never
far away from my musical genesis.
It is my reference point. We can be
original and new while history
whispers in our ear. That is why
‘Brendan’s Ireland’ is my first release,
an introduction to my original work
to come later this year.”
